Its short on features, but great for core voice changing ability.
Land line voice distorter:
You need an adapter (again something were selling on this site in the new year ! The adapter has a 'in' socket for the landline and an 'out socket for the telephone connection on the wall It also has a 3.5mm jack running out from it.
This jack plugs into the speaker socket on your machine You then plug in a microphone into the mic. Socket The final part of the setup is to get the software running and pick the voice you want to use. You dial the number you using the voice distorter for and instead of speaking into the handset, you speak into the PC microphone. It then distorts the voice output and using the adapter, the distorted voice is received by the caller the other end of the phone. Its critical you block or muffle the speaker on your handset when you do this. A handy idea is to use something like blue tack (see here http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/household-products/bostik-blu-tack/442888/ ) I have used a small blob of it to muffle the mic on the handset, or you could jus put your hand over the mouthpiece!
Anyhow, the main point is that it works extremely well and the sound quality is totally sharp and realistic. With software you have the advantage of filtering the audio in such a way that it does not adversely distort the audio output unlike a basic portable voice changer.
I will do a short article on how to do this with a mobile cellphone |
