You see How it works, telephone line in , telephone line out and microphone speaker

now wire up the telephone recording device and then plug the microphone Jack into your computer speaker socket , then plug in your microphone so it can take an audio input.

load the software up, and get it running

now block off the microphone On the telephone. - the idea is to block out the audio input from the telephone. You can use tape or Blu Tak or even your hand.

Now what should happen is that the software will change your voice on the PC , it then up puts the modified voice and runs it into the telephone line using the adapter. you will experience a small delay , perhaps a quarter of a second or so from when you speak to when the audio output is generated.

The faster your machine, and the fewer programs running the less the delay.

to record the conversation , I suggest you use this software, is open source so it is free like funnyvoice and its very powerful as a sound editing tool. it can save clips as MP3 and as AVI and you can change the audio quality / file sizes.

you can get it here : http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
